A wonderful solid 18ct Gold antique Georgian serpent bracelet showcasing over 5ct of beautiful deep Almandine Garnets of various shapes and sizes set upon the snake’s head and eyes.
Almandine Garnet’s are known as the stone of Truth and are beloved for their violet/red colour that is said to provide protection and strength.
During the Georgian era snakes symbolized love, loyalty and friendship which is why this snake holds a lovely engraved heart in its mouth crowned with a Garnet on the front which is approx. 1.75ct and a glass window locket on the reverse.
The articulated snake link chain is dotted with cut out stars and fashioned in 18ct Yellow Gold along with the snake’s head, tail and heart. The piece is in excellent condition for its age and boasts stunning workmanship of its time.
